Spell checker addon for HTML and ASP.NET to VS2005

Software developer who are using VS2005 do miss a spell checker in it. Many a time they want to check spelling mistakes in a piece of code, and they are required to do manual check. Mr.Mikhail Arkhipov has finally finished writing HTML spell checker add-on to Visual Studio. according to his weblog,

this Spell checker works in Source view, it is able to extract text from markup elements and use Office 2003 spell checker to check the text. Spell checker is able to handle entities to some extent (they are considered whitespace for now). It is also able to spell check values of attributes that typically contain human readable text. You can customize spell checker behavior by editing an XML file. Since the add-on uses Office spelling engine, you must have Office 2003 or at least Word 2003 installed. Spell checker uses active Office dictionary. Therefore if page is in Japanese, but primary dictionary set in Office is in English, spell checking will be done in English. Current version does not merge words split by tags, such as <b>S</b>ymbol. I am planning to add this functionality in a future version. Right click on the misspelled word does not bring suggestions, double-click does. This is because right-click in VS 2005 HTML editor is hardcoded for the context menu and cannot be overridden.

BSNL To Offer Free broadband and Landlines likely

In an interaction with the press, On February 23, Maran said that free broadband service in India could soon become a reality. He also said that zero-rental landline phones too might soon see the light of day.

Maran said that the move towards free broadband may come about once state-owned telecom firms Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) get into web hosting. “Efforts are being made by BSNL and MTNL to start web hosting. At the moment, all traffic generated in India terminates outside and we should try to terminate these within the country,” he explained.

Once traffic starts terminating within the country, the concept of free broadband, allowing for unlimited downloads without paying a charge, could be possible, the minister added. Asked about the time frame to translate this into reality, he replied, “I still have two years’ time.”

While consumers will cheer it, the move holds the potential to kill the telecom business as we know it. You may have heard of free municipal broadband—many cities in the US have drenched themselves in wireless broadband connectivity, freely accessible to residents. The idea is to boost economic activity in general. The central government plans to achieve free broadband connectivity at a speed of 2 MB per second across the country, with a similar goal.

Change Language Settings in Microsoft Word

Recently i was working on a document where i copy pasted some text from other doc that i received from one of my friend from France. And to my surprise when other day i contunued working on same doc it gave me and error that that spell check can't find the DLL that it needs to check a particular language, and I realized that it isn't the language the document should use. The language formatting in a document is determined by the settings of the user profile under which it was created. So I needed to change existing language formatting manually. This is what i found to solve my problem.

Open Word; a new document should be displayed, and no text should be selected.

1. Tools/Language/Set language
2. Choose your language and click "Default"
   (Note: this changes the Language formatting of the Normal style in the Normal.dot template)
3. If on exiting Word you are prompted to save changes to the Normal.dot template, say "Yes", otherwise the default setting will not "stick".

Human trafficking. What, Where, Why.

Take look at these stories,

1) A good looking, well behaved Nepali girl aged 16 named kamala (changed) is brought to Mumbai by her boyfriend. She thinks she’s the luckiest girl on the earth, for the moment.
After having Enough sex with her, she is sold to a local pimp at a Reasonable price. Now she’s got nowhere to escape then to live a life not what she might have seen in her worst nightmare, ever.

2) PART 1 : A five year old child from city Rajkot of Gujarat is missing since 3 months. Her parents are wealthy enough to pursue to get him back, at any cost, but none did call to ask any ransom. Police thinks they are careless and ignore they distress.
They think they are there to look on some issues, more important then to find a child!! Helpless and poor parents are still searching for their kid.

PART 2 : A men spots a kid alone at a temple, goes to him and offers to buy a candy, innocent kid follows and it’s taken by the men to far from the city, to a different state, a large city called Calcutta.
This is same child was missing in previous part. A real Trauma, he is sold to a beggar who owns other 12 such kids from the age group of 4-8.
Such kids costs merely 12 x 300 (food) that’s 3600 rupees (80 $) per month (only food is what they want, it’s meaningless to provide better living environment, none will pity on them if they appear good and well dressed)
They earn 12 x 1500 (50 rupee per day) that is a huge sum of 18000 rupee (400 $) per month, for a beggar kind of men, considering a relatively small investment (he brought the kids at no more then 3000 to 5000 per Pieces.


This is human trafficking business. You may find this happening in every part of any country no matter how developed the country is. The powerful and cunning people operates together and nett the innocents and puts them to places where they are forced to do anything, worth for the buyer.

It’s hard to stop this business, if not impossible, thought many NGOs and Human welfare societies are active. But all that they can do is to heal wounds, they can’t protect victims from the predators.

Government needs to act in this regards, and act hard. Hard enough to block the route to the manmade hell like world, where Human trafficking victims live, if it can’t destroy it, at all……..

Beware!! Reliance India Mobile (RIM) can cheat you in more then one way. God help us!

Reliance India Mobile is India’s largest mobile operator by many means. But one must admit that there are numbers of times you will feel cheated by this company if you are using this mobile service.

Let me tell you one such incident that happened with me, recently (Apr-2007). I’m using a reliance mobile since last 3 year which is a postpaid connection

It costs me 2 rupee for STD calling. Recently I came to know that they are offering a calling card using which you may call any number through out India for only 1 rupee. And what more, from 11 pm to 6 am you may call any Reliance mobile FREE OF CHARGE.

That offer attracted many a people like me and I got my first card on 15-mar-2007. I was told that my card expires on 15-apr-2007 that’s 1 month of time is there for me to use the service. One thing that I came to know later is that the free call automatically gets disconnected after every 15 minutes. But it doesn’t matter.

I mainly brought this card to call my girlfriend at night, she lives far from me. Then we started to talk like never before. For the first time in 3 year, I though it’s worth sticking to this “Faltu” (aka good-for-nothing) company.

But the Joy lasted no longer then 15 days. On 31’st march, at night I started to talk to her and suddenly I realized my call is not being disconnected after 15 minutes. I felt some problem and disconnected the call and checked the balance, to my utter surprise it was not the same I was told the same day sometime ago. I noted the balance and again made the call, talked for sometime and disconnected the call to check the balance. It was again less, means they are charging me for the call!! I anyhow managed to convince my girl that I’ll call her tomorrow. You know It was Saturday and we wanted to continue our talk being next day a holiday. But alas!!

I inquired in customer care but not to my surprise they knew nothing. So I lodged one complain explaining the agony I went through.

Next day (means today, 1-Apr-2007) I again called customer care then comes the real SOCK.


He said the scheme is changed, and now every minute you will be charged 40 paisa after 11 pm.


This is ridiculous; I mean how can they change the scheme overnight?!! They must have put this to their website, or some advertisement at least. And by the way, If they change the scheme it must be effective to all new purchases of the card. But it didn' happen. And now I’m being charged 40 paisa per minute.


So moral of the story:


Never ever buy any Service from RELIANCE, let it be Mobile, Broadband, Calling cards. ANYTHING. Just don’t buy them. This will refrain you from the future torment….
